Earth Day in America is the nation's largest and most colorful Earth Day event on April 22 (Earth Day). "Earth Day" is firmly anchored in America and the region as the environmental event of the year. On this day, organizations, institutions, and associations inform the visitors of the event about ecological, social, political and cultural topics. The idea behind the Day of Action, also known as Earth Day, is to promote an ecological or environmentally conscious lifestyle. Earth Day has its origins in a US student movement in 1970. Since 1990, more and more local Earth Days have followed with individual programs and environmental protection goals.
Earth Day provides the opportunity to point out environmentally friendly productions or promote new technologies during themed city festivals. Numerous actions have sprung up around the world, aiming at individual aspects of preserving planet Earth in its natural diversity. These include, for example, projects to protect endangered species and their habitat. Rethinking the use of the Earth's surface is an important starting point for all these projects.

Since then, the holiday has gained international status under the simplified title of "Earth Day" and is intended to move the world's population to rethink consumer habits. In 2010, government representatives from 47 countries finally signed the "Peoples Agreement" - an agreement for the future to stop man-made climate change.
